Hi Team Ohio!
Have you heard about the new team competition of AWSA? If not, click here for a full overview. Basically, every state in the country will be sending a team to the regionals to compete against all of the other states (think Midwest Medal Count from years past). The difference this year is that the winning team will advance to the National Championships and here is the really cool part: a competitor on their state team DOES NOT have to be qualified in their individual event to ski at Regionals or Nationals for their team. Tour Slalom Champion- D3 Slalom Ski, Training Session with Seth Stisher, Slalom Ski TOG from Ski It Again, SeaDek hat, Hitachi water bottle, sunglasses, Trophy and plaque from OWSA
A great time was had by all at Lake Bobason. Mary Nelson of Lake Lottawatta skied a personal best to win the Gold Fin Firkin in Slalom, Yavonne Austin of Lake Bobason received her first plaque with 2nd, and Ryan Houser of Lottawatta 3rd.
Trick top 3 were Mary Nelson, Sandra Cummings of Michigan, and Chaz Decker of Lake Mohawk. Skiing in his first Buckeye Buoy Tour, Chris Caldwell of Lake Mohawk wins Jump with Chaz Decker 2nd, and Rob Dieter of the Miami University Water Ski Club 3rd.
