Our biggest local event of the summer is this weekend! Kicking off with BBT #5 Dottie T. Memorial on Friday, followed by the Ohio State Championships on Saturday and Sunday. Please see below for a complete checklist to make your weekend AWESOME!

Get in those last couple of practices sets this week and we'll see you on the water at Shortline Shores this weekend!
FRIDAY NOTES
  • The weekend gets underway with BBT 5, the Dottie T Memorial Pick your Poison tournament, on Friday July 19th at 8 am. Note: this is separate sanction from the State tournament, so if you intend to ski in this tournament you will have to sign up separately.
  • The Troeger /Van Treese families will be providing lunch to skiers on Friday.
  • The State OWSA annual meeting will be held at Dammeyer’s Boat house at 8 pm or at the end of the BBT finals. Pizza will be served for those in attendance of the meeting. The selection of the site for the 2020 State Tournament and election of officers for 2019-2020 will be determined during this meeting.

WEEKEND NOTES
  • RV’s are welcome, but to keep our yards from getting torn up we would like to ask RV’s to park in the stone parking lot next to the big grey barn on the South end of the lake.
  • All other vehicles can park along the lane on the west side of the lake.
  • The State Tournament will start at 8 am on Saturday, July 20th
  • For the slalom and jump events we have elected to have each competitor ski behind the same boat that they drew for Regionals and Nationals. Random draw of the boats resulted in skiers behind the Malibu going first, Nautique 2nd, and Mastercraft 3rd . The age Divisions in each group was then randomly drawn and then the running order would be from lowest to highest seed
    • Malibu: W1, W4, M1, M3, M6, G1, G2, OW
    • Nautique: W2, W6, B1, B3, M5, M7, MM, OM, M8
    • Mastercraft: G3, B2, W3, MW, W7-W11, M2, M9-M11, W5, M4
  • The Slalom event for all age groups will be first, followed by the Junior Trick and Junior Jump events. The order of events for Sunday will be Adult Trick and then Adult Jump.
  • Food will be available for purchase between 11 and 1 on both Saturday and Sunday.
  • The State Banquet will be held at the Varsity Lanes Bowling alley lounge located at 91 Herzing Street in St. Marys (just off of St. Rte 66). You can start arriving at 6 pm, but the meal is scheduled to be served at 7 pm. Presentation of the awards will follow the meal. Adult beverages will be available for purchase in the lounge. All tea and lemonade will be included with the meal. The Banquet is free of charge for all competitors and will cost $10 for any guest.

Have you paid your OWSA Dues for the year? If not, pay online before you head to the tournament this weekend!
